Kenneth Kempf
Current Position
Biography
Kenneth Kempf is a Veterans Employment Consultant in the Raleigh Local
Office of the North Carolina Employment Security Commission (ESC). He is
a Vietnam Veteran where he served with the 101st Airborne Division of
the U. S. Army.
A football scholarship allowed him to earn his BS in Business
Administration from Miami University (Ohio). Following his tour in
Vietnam he embarked on a 30 year career in the energy business, working
his way from a laborers position in an underground coal mine to District
Vice President of Sales for the largest coal company in the United
States. The next phase of his career involved the purchasing of coal,
trading emission allowances and trading electricity for a Fortune 250
utility company.
His duties with the ESC for the past two years have allowed him to
reconnect with the military since he only works with veterans. He
assists any and all veterans in obtaining employment and he case manages
veterans who are homeless or have been previously incarcerated.
Services offered include: job referrals, self assessment, resume
preparation, interviewing skills, networking skills, referrals to other
services, encouragement, and moral support.
He has been married to his wife Kristy for 33 years and together they
have two children; a son 31 and a daughter 18.
